This morning from my backyard

This morning from my backyard

exif information

I was trying my hand at long exposure star photography this morning in my backyard. This was only a 20 minute exposure with long exposure noise reduction, so the total time was approx 40 minutes. The stars are different colors, I think that is normal.

I may try this out in the desert some day, so I needed a baseline exposure test to measure the length of the trails as they relate to the exposure time.

What the heck is "long exposure noise reduction"?

This is what I saw to my left as I walked back out to retrieve my camera and tripod. Mirror lockup, long exposure noise reduction. It was better looking in person.
