Fry's Electronics Store - San Marcos, California
I buy a lot of parts from Fry’s, and I wanted to take a minute and publish a positive note in support of their return policy.
I recently purchased a power supply, and after three weeks of using it in one of my PC’s, they took it back with no questions asked, and gave me a full refund. They didn’t even pressure me for store credit. I did however go directly into the store and purchase a better power supply.
So, for great customer service – THANKS FRY’S !!

As a resident of the State of California, I feel like I am being leaned on by organized crime. I just imagine a scene from the Sopranos; “Hey you need protection, and we can provide that for you for a fee”, and what they are protecting you from is themselves. It is absolutely what the government of our (used to be great) State of California is doing, they just reached into my pocket and grabbed about $100 per month.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in a political jab cartoon
They should have laid off state employees, sent some illegal aliens back home, stopped allowing our emergency rooms from being used as a Dr.’s office, or any combination thereof. Instead, they decided to tax us more.
I am so angry because I cant do a thing about it, and as far as my local assemblyman, I just got a canned email several days after the vote, that said “sorry”. If I had the time and the money, I would run for office just to slam these people in public.
How come my assemblyman wasn’t out in force letting people know that their taxes were getting raised? Most people at my work didn’t even know.
I thank God that I live in a free country, and am free to write anything I want, and if you feel the same, let your assemblyman/senator, or whatever know.

Facebook backed down under pressure. Facebook had changed their user agreement to say that they owned all of your content even if you removed your account, and now they have backed down under pressure.
My position is simply this; whatever you put on the internet tends to stay there forever, but having the ability to remove your account (on any website such as Flickr etc) should be a reliable way to mitigate this.

I have been a registered user of Ebay since 1998.
In my opinion, the mega auction site will fail, or largely drop in sales. The reason is obviously painful to sellers, and power sellers. It has become way to easy to purchase something, complain to PayPal, and the seller gets charged back with no questions asked. All the buyer has to do is claim the item was significantly not as described, and send an empty box back, and bingo they get their money.
If Ebay wants to succeed, then they need to go back to their roots, a simple auction site that buyers and sellers exchange goods. Yes there was some risk, but that is what made it work. The buyers could believe in the feedback system, and everything went well.
Now with to many “buy it now” auctions, the site is flooded with ecommerce, and it is hard to tell the private seller that is honest from the fraudster.
Mark my words, Ebay will fail. If Ebay wants to know how to get the business back, then look me up. Myself and many many other sellers are trying Craigslist, because it is free, and cash payments cannot be charged back.

By DEVLIN BARRETT, Associated Press Writer:
In a speech to Justice Department employees marking Black History Month, Holder said the workplace is largely integrated but Americans still self-segregate on the weekends and in their private lives.
“Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial we have always been and I believe continue to be, in too many ways, essentially a nation of cowards,” said Holder, nation’s first black attorney general.
My opinion:
Who in the heck does this guy think he is? I am a coward? I don’t think so. I am among the large majority of people that think that Obama might bring hope and prosperity to this country, but if this is what the new administration is made of, I think not. I am already beginning to believe that these guys are socialists, and want americans to get a free ride, and now they want to tell us what to think regarding race? What next?
It has only been a month, but I am not liking what I am seeing happening to my country.
